Most recently recognized for her use of vibrant color and natural effects with pastel, Cynthia also creates stunning works in charcoal, conté and ink.
Cynthia recently discovered her love for portrait, figure and gesture of the human form after joining a live model weekly workshop at the SullivanMunce Cultural Center in Zionsville, where she serves as the Executive Director. Originally a floral and fauna artist working in oil and acrylic, she pursued a figure drawing class to stretch herself artistically and to “get outside the box” of her previous works. This new experience in both subject matter and medium reignited her artistic passion, resulting in over 200 works since 2013. She and a group of local artists continue to meet weekly at the SullivanMunce Cultural Center to draw, paint and sketch live models.
