Cynthia Young

Young has worked in the arts in one form or another for most of her working life.  She began her career as an interior designer while also working her magic as a faux painter painting walls, floors, furniture and glass for her design clients. She managed to carve out time during the summer to teach adult art classes, summer art camps and volunteer at a local art center.

Working numerous roles created a way to make art, meet other artists and work as a designer.  Young now works as an administrator for a non-profit arts organization while also pursuing a career in visual art.  Young’s current work includes the human figure, portraiture and animals in pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink and gouache.
